Meet The Curator: Suzy May
Suzy May is a worldschooler (you’ll learn more about that movement) and podcaster. She’s bringing us this week’s list. Here’s why she chose this theme:
Choosing to do a school year abroad (and continue doing half abroad and half at our home base) has been the greatest gift for our family, especially our now 6 and 8 year olds!
It inspired me to start my own podcast and listen voraciously to other podcasts that share the joys, challenges, and adventures of worldschooling families! I hope this inspires you to slow down and savor your family travels!

Wander Worldschool and Slow Family Travel Podcast
Your 6-Step Wander Financial Framework to Plan for Worldschooling
Host (and curator) Suzy May kicks off this recap episode with an update on her family’s adventures over the past month. She also shares listener locations and highlights from recent episodes — including conversations with Water Hub creator Danielle, a father of eight navigating slow travel in Costa Rica, and Erin, whose family has spent five years traveling full-time with two cats.
In the episode’s Deep Dive, Suzy breaks down her six-part Wander Financial Framework — a step-by-step guide for families interested in worldschooling and long-term travel. The framework walks through defining your “why,” building a realistic budget, assessing your current assets, identifying income opportunities, creating a financial plan, and ultimately putting that plan into action.

The WHY Matters
#44 - Raising Trilingual Kids
Long-time full-time traveling parents, Will and Jessica, look back at the years-long journey through Costa Rica school, French immersion programs, online language coaching to support their two young adults to become fully trilingual (English, Spanish and French). They share what worked, what didn’t, and what it cost, both financially and emotionally, to pursue this commitment to teaching their kids three languages while the parents only spoke English and some Spanish. Plus: why they think it is so important to support language development for worldschooling families!
